Book Talk: Freefall with Author Cindy Kaplan

Gateways, Yachad New England, and Temple Emanuel’s B’Tselem Inclusion Committee invite you to join us for an evening of conversation with Cindy Kaplan, parent coach and author of the memoir Freefall: One Mother’s Journey Raising a Child with Special Needs. The talk will take place at Temple Emanuel of Newton. Light dessert refreshments will be provided.

The Event

When our child isn’t who or what we imagined…

• How do we radically accept the “AS IS”?
• How do we move through our grief, however large or small?
• How do we take care of ourselves so that we can show up for our kids in the ways they need us most?

Life throws us into the unexpected, or freefall, over and over again. There are some fundamental ideas that we can hold onto and practice so we can show up for our children in the way they need us to while also showing up for ourselves.
