Building Resilience in Teens and Caregivers

May 2 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

This 90-minute interactive webinar will provide caregivers with tools for assisting teens in developing resilience. During the webinar, we will explore our brain and our neurological responses in order to better understand concepts like compassion fatigue, co-regulation, and emotional and cognitive resilience. We will also practice techniques to help caregivers and teens “restore” (feel safe and connected) and build resilience.

The Our Daughters, Our Future mental health speaker series is sponsored with the generous support of The Miriam Fund of Boston’s Combined Jewish Philanthropies. The Miriam Fund is a philanthropic community committed to creating an equitable world that expands opportunities for women and girls. However, individual webinars in the series touch upon the experiences of girls, boys, and non-binary individuals, and parents and educators of teens of all genders are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Our Speaker: Michelle Graff

Michelle Graff is the founder of Cultivating Human Resiliency and the author of The Compassion Fatigued Organization. She has worked with children and families impacted by trauma in a variety of capacities for almost thirty years. Michelle now focuses on helping the helping professional by providing training and consultation to both public and private human service agencies.
