The Event

Gateways will be hosting the next program of our ongoing “Our Daughters, Our Future” series on teen mental health and wellness on Wednesday, May 18, from 7:30pm – 9:00pm. Our presenter is Stephen Hill, a renowned national speaker on substance abuse prevention and mental health awareness with a truly inspiring comeback story everyone must hear.

Stephen is the founder of Speak Sobriety, a young person in recovery, bestselling author, recovery coach, and a fierce attorney advocating for treatment over incarceration. He has presented in front of thousands of people for over 350 schools, drug free communities coalitions, alliances, and organizations across the country, sharing his cautionary tale of addiction to recovery and beyond.

His presentation, “Not My Kid: The Parent Program,” is a story from stigma and struggle to resilience and recovery. Everyone will leave this free educational program better able to prevent and intervene on substance abuse & misuse, feeling more compassionate, filled with hope, and motivated to make smart choices and positive change!

This series is sponsored with the generous support of The Miriam Fund of Boston’s Combined Jewish Philanthropies. The Miriam Fund is a philanthropic community committed to creating an equitable world that expands opportunities for women and girls. However, individual webinars in the series touch upon the experiences of girls, boys, and non-binary individuals, and parents and educators of teens of all genders are welcome and encouraged to attend.
