These days, social media is practically inescapable. While there are benefits to this age of interconnectedness, we also know that social media use correlates to higher rates of anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem among our youth. Dr. Simone Alicia’s presentation is specifically designed to provide a real world view of self-esteem and how it can be impacted by social media. Her goal is to discuss and demonstrate tools and concepts and to provide practical strategies for helping teachers and parents to support youth in moving forward with healthy self-esteem in the world of social media.
Dr. Simone Alicia, D.D., h.c. is a 5-star rated self-esteem coach, international speaker, and founder of The Self Esteem Doctor Academy. Globally known as The Self Esteem Doctor, Simone Alicia is a certified Neurolinguistic Programming Practitioner, Certified Metaphysical Practitioner, Honorary Doctor of Divinity and member of the Association for Integrative Psychology. This former elementary school teacher has a unique talent for transforming the abstract concept of self-esteem into stunning visuals, hands-on demos & practical tools that are entertaining and results-driven. Dr. Simone’s presentation will leave attendees with more than just a ‘good feeling,’ they will have strategies they need to soar toward success.
The Our Daughters, Our Future mental health speaker series is sponsored with the generous support of The Miriam Fund of Boston’s Combined Jewish Philanthropies.
