Honors and Memorials
Consider making a gift to Gateways to commemorate a special occasion or to honor the memory of a loved one. Gateways sends a card to the honoree and/or their family to inform them of your gift.
If you are mailing your donation, please include the name of the individual being honored or remembered and an address to which Gateways can mail an acknowledgement card. You are also welcome to include a brief message to be shared with the recipient. If you are making your gift online, please include the above information on the online giving form.
Gifts of appreciated stock may provide tax savings at the time you donate them to Gateways. Donors can avoid a capital gains tax on the appreciated portion of a gift, and many people therefore find that they are able to make a larger gift by using appreciated securities rather than cash.
To make a gift of stock, please review our Stock Donation Instructions. This document contains brokerage information that you will need in order to complete the transfer. Please notify Gateways’ development staff before you transfer stock, either by email or by phone, 617.630.9010 x113.
Estate Planning and Bequests
There are many ways to give from your estate, including naming Gateways as a beneficiary in your will or in your retirement or life insurance plans. Please contact our development staff for more information on estate planning options.
Double your gift to Gateways with the help of your company’s matching gift program. Contact your employer (generally through the HR department) to find out if your company has a matching gift program. Ask for the matching gift form, and complete it and send it, along with your gift, to the address below. Some companies have an online matching gift submission process.
