Presenting Gateways’ 2023-2024 Annual Report
Our Annual Report showcases some of the remarkable achievements of the past year and highlights the impact of your support. The theme of growth and expansion truly defined this year, as we celebrated milestones that highlight both our legacy and our vision for the future.
One such milestone was Sweet Sounds 2023, which commemorated the 20th anniversary of our beloved B’nei Mitzvah Program. This program has touched the lives of more than 100 families over the past two decades, enabling children with disabilities to celebrate their b’nei mitzvah and enter the next phase of their Jewish communal lives.
This year also marked the national rollout of Shiluv, our groundbreaking peer disability education program for Jewish day schools. Shiluv approaches the culture of inclusion through a uniquely Jewish lens, equipping teachers with tools and knowledge to foster understanding and acceptance of disability and difference in their classrooms. Locally, we piloted Developing Minds, a transformative program for professionals from youth and young adult-serving organizations to work on building organizational mental health capacity.
As Gateways continues to expand its reach, we remain steadfast in our commitment to creating a Jewish world where every child belongs.
