At Gateways: Access to Jewish Education (“Gateways”), your privacy is very important to us, and we share your concern about the importance of protecting your personal information. This policy outlines Gateways’ commitment to keeping your identity and information secure.

This Privacy Policy applies to Gateways and governs the collection and use of data for all individuals who visit the Gateways website, jgateways.org and our social media profiles (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) (hereinafter the “Sites”). For the purposes of this Privacy Policy “we”, “our” and “us” refers to Gateways: Access to Jewish Education and to our Sites.

BY ACCESSING AND USING THE GATEWAYS SITES, YOU AGREE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS PRIVACY POLICY AND YOU CONSENT WITHOUT MODIFICATIONS TO OUR USE OF ANY INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE TO US OR WHICH IS COLLECTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TERMS OF THIS POLICY. Collection of Personal Information

Gateways collects and retains two types of information about visitors to its Sites: (1) personally identifying information that individual visitors provide when interacting on the Sites, or voluntarily provide on certain other occasions (such as your name, address, e-mail address, telephone and cell phone numbers, fax number and credit card information) (“Personal Information”); and (2) tracking data, which is automatically collected from every Site visitor (collectively, “Tracking Data”). As with many other websites, the Internet servers used to operate our Sites may collect certain information pertaining to you and the software, equipment and communications method that you use to access the Internet and our Sites. This information is used for the operation of our services, to maintain quality of our services and to provide general statistics regarding use of our Sites.

How Gateways Uses Your Personal Information

Gateways uses the information you provide us solely to provide services at your request; to inform you about services, programs, events and other communal information that you may find interesting or useful; and to confirm donations, reservations or other interactions that you undertake within the context of your involvement with Gateways. We may disclose Personal Information you provide us only to those of our contractors and their employees that need your Personal Information to process it on our behalf, to provide services to you that you have requested or to contact you on our behalf. All such third parties are prohibited from using your Personal Information except to provide these services to Gateways and they are contractually required to maintain the privacy and security of your Personal Information.

Gateways will disclose your Personal Information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on Gateways or our website; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of Gateways; or, (c) act under necessary circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of our website or the public.

Gateways does not sell, trade or share Personal Information with any other agencies, individuals or organizations. On occasion, we may share on our Sites a link to another organization’s event that we believe to be of interest or benefit to you and to our community. Children

Our Sites are intended for use by individuals who are over the age of 13. Gateways does not knowingly collect Personal Information from children age 13 or younger. If we become aware that a person under 13 has accessed or used our Sites without consent from a parent/guardian, we will take steps to terminate such access and use of the Sites.
